Non-toxic
Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel is a 100% ethanol formulation and does not contain methanol – a toxic material widely used in chafing fuel gels.

No harmful fumes or vapours
No carcinogens, carbon monoxide or any other toxic or hazardous fumes or health-threatening gases are emitted during the burn cycle of Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel.

Clear labelling
Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel is labelled to comply with all EU regulations.

Food safety
Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel delivers the hottest maximum temperature (approx. 90°C), ensuring food is kept in the temperature safety zone (above 60°C) for longer.

Safe to use
Liquid-free gel formulation ensures contents will not leak out if the can is accidentally knocked over. NB: Always use this product in accordance with Lumea’s ’Safe Use of Chafing Fuels’.

Safer formulation
Contains Bitrex®, an additive which ensures the ethanol gel tastes terrible and will not be consumed.

Renewable fuel          
The ethanol formulation used in Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel is derived entirely from renewable resources. Ingredients include sugar cane and corn, which are fermented as a biomass to create the ethyl alcohol fuel.

Smokeless
Lumea Ethanol Chafing Fuel is clean burning and odour-free.

Non-polluting
Ethyl alcohol (the fuel) is non-polluting when burnt. The alcohol evaporates harmlessly and returns to its natural organic elements of carbon, hydrogen and oxygen. The water content in the formulation also evaporates and returns to its basic elements of hydrogen and oxygen.

Recyclable packaging
The steel cans and cardboard outer packaging are all 100% recyclable. All packaging is clearly marked with the international recycling symbol (the mobius loop) to encourage consumers to recycle after use.
